Coderus Sponsors 2016 DevelopHER Awards

We are excited about being a sponsor of the DevelopHER Awards on November 30th at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich.  Organised by Vickie Allen, who has been instrumental in getting both Ipswich and Norwich on the East Anglian Tech Nation map, she has now turned her sights on raising the profile of women in the East Anglian technology sector.

The awards are aimed at recognising women who already work in technology and to hopefully inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Vickie has been keen to build an East Anglian network through the SyncDevelopHER meetups that are open to everyone, providing the opportunity to learn, ask questions and network with other technology enthusiasts and industry experts.

For teenagers with a software development interest, there is also a Saturday morning Code Club that will be starting again in the autumn. SyncDevelopHER meetups are in addition to SyncIpswich meetups covering a variety of mainly technology-related subjects.

We are keen to see the momentum behind Tech Nation continue and by sponsoring the DevelopHER awards, it’s created an opportunity to do this as well a recognising the contributions from women in technology businesses, especially in our case, software development.
