Global Reach, Community Spirit

Making a difference in the community

Dedicated to making a difference locally, as well as globally, at Coderus we take an active involvement in inspiring young people, aspiring developers and the wider business community, planning, facilitating, hosting and sponsoring events, championing graduate recruitment and supporting local innovation.

Who we sponsor

SyncIpswich

We co-organise and host monthly SyncIpswich meetup events for the local tech community and start-ups in Ipswich and Suffolk. This is an open community to share ideas, learn new things and network.

SyncDevelopHER Awards

We are regular sponsors of the SyncDevelopHER Awards – an annual not for profit awards ceremony recognising women who work in the technology sector in East Anglia.

Suffolk Creative Computing Club Charitable Foundation

We support the Charitable Foundation to help people from low income families access grants to get into tech. We support the Suffolk Creative Computing Club to access events plus nurture new talent.

Engaging education

At Coderus we believe in supporting the future of technology now. We work with local Universities, Colleges and Schools to engage young people with an interest in our industry, offering the opportunity of summer internships and more.

British Science Week
Coderus is a regular contributor to British Science Week. This annual event, run by the British Science Association, is a ten-day celebration of STEM subjects and features engaging events accross the UK.

Here at Adastral Park, Coderus joins a group of other companies at BT's onsite Exhibition Centre, which sees students from multiple schools visiting the campus to learn and be inspired. In previous years, we have featured a Shero maze, allowing students to write simple code to guide the robot by themeselves. In 2017, the event attracted over 1500 students aged 6-18, so is a wonderful way for the Coderus team to play a hands-on role in demonstrating the endless possibilities of software development.

British Science Association

Live stream events

At Coderus we believe in bringing the latest technology to life for the community around us. Every year we host Live Streams from Google, Apple and Microsoft, making them accessible from locations including the University of Suffolk's Waterfront Campus, as well as Adastral Park.

These keynote presentations provide great opportunities for businesses to learn about latest tech developments. Combined with networking this enables delegates to digest and understand practical applications and solutions to benefit their own operations.

Memberships, accreditations and affiliations

With a commitment to developing to the highest standard, we have achieved a number of globally recognised accreditations and we actively encourage our dedicated team of QA testers and developers to achieve personal certifications and qualifications, including ISTQB, Microsoft MSCP and Associated Android Developer certifications.
