Coderus will host the first Google I/O Extended 2015 event at Adastral Park, one of only six events in the UK, on Thursday 28th May 2015. The event is sponsored by BT, Innovation Martlesham and the IP-Network.
The I/O Extended 2015 event will stream the Google Keynote speeches live from San Francisco in the John Bray Lecture Theatre at Adastral Park and be followed by an open forum discussion with a specially selected panel of speakers. It will be preceded by a short networking session with live demos of Google technologies.
This is the first of a number of similar events Coderus have planned for 2015, aimed at bringing the technology community together to stimulate discussion, new ideas and collaborate. Mark Thomas MD of Coderus said: “I have always wanted to see developer events being held at Adastral Park. The Park has an international reputation and the facilities here are ideal for this sort of event. I want to thank our sponsors for their support and invite anyone with an interest in Google’s development to book onto the event.”
Kevin Woollard Operations Director, Research & Innovation and Adastral Park, commented: “This is the only Google I/O Extended event happening in the East of England, and we are delighted to open up the 350-seat John Bray Lecture Theatre for this event.”
Ian Buxton, Chair of Innovation Martlesham, said: “Coderus is one of the growing number of ICT companies that are making things happen at Innovation Martlesham. Mark Thomas was interviewed on the BBC Radio Suffolk breakfast show on 30th April, where the region was described as the ‘Silicon Valley of the UK’ by Neil Miles, who leads ICT for the region’s Local Enterprise Partnership. This Google event is further evidence of the growing significance of the ICT cluster at Innovation Martlesham and in the region.”
